KATSINA, NIGERIA - It began with ward congress, the grassroot politics; as they say, all politics is local, i.e. once one looses grip of grassroot politics, he looses all.
Any serious politician make no play with this level politics; he can go to any miles to guarantee his success at and make strong hold of this stage's game, thereby paving way for easy going to the subsequent stages
Then came the Local Government Congress, a stage some called ( Ni ma a gidana nike, abarni inyi yadda nikeso), i.e. eguals begets equals! Or who is who ! High level interest dances adequately from within and outside, herein, though, this, to any serious government, is DOLE, otherwise the Government on power will wake up being replced; a transition sets in !
A machanism is usually installed in place to forestall or at least reduce down the aftermath of congresses, a Consensus to be specific. Consensus is not something new, in every struggle and movement globally, be it religious or political or other fields of man's hwadi tashi consensus had been the ideal or safest, best way to go when things complicated. Any noise following it, amount to 'dan mutum bashi ne yasamu kanshi ba, a yanayin'
Here, I most salute the courage and effort of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, the Executive Governor of our dear State, Katsina for seeing that sprit of 'SASANCI' scaled through across the ward and Local Government congresses. I dare to say kudos to you sir, and to our party APC. Some, have wanted it to be done other way round, thus shattaring the party apart. Shame on you! Yan' a fasa, kowa ya rasa !!
While congratulating and wishing those elected from ward down to the Local Government Levels a hich - free tenure, I urge them to be tolerant, accomadative and fair in the dischage of their task before them in the upcoming State election
I once more command the courage of His. Excellence, Aminu Bello Masari as well as APC for achieving this feat, the peaceful consensus. Beat your chest ! I repeat, you make no political mistake, it is done world over. Not talk of here, in Nigeria. No one would dare question your integrety for conducting it that way. Tell me one Party that never does it even once in its existence ! The answer is "there is none" . Then why APC should be left out. What injustice !!!!!
While calling a spade a spade, I am not saying APC like any other party is a saint party, not making political mistakes and having no weaknesses and shortcomings. No. I say Capital NO. It has a pocket of problems which I believe everybody needs not to be told of them, because they are visible, everybody knows what is happening, some of the problems are sabotage, some are inflicted, others are kuskure, wanda ba wanda yafi karfin kuskure !
And like I stated in some of my past pieces here, that if we want do away with bad leadership, bad politicians, rotted elements, we must surrender to the devine being, the invisible hand(according to economist) to choose for us the best, not our choice, avoiding the past mistake. Unless we resort to this, even if APC will present the saintest people we will never see what we yearn for
As for the upcoming 16 October 2021 APC State Congress, I plea to all the stakeholders to try their best to see to the successefull conduct of the election by allowing a level playing ground so as to consolidate on the success recorded in the past two elections
I ask Allah in his infinite mercy to make things easy for us and bring an end the multiples problems bedibling us in the country: galloping prices, banditry, kidnapping, unemployment, drug abuse among other vices
I believe Mafita will come sooner than later
